West Eight Nightclub ("West 8," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use west8downtown.com, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you join our list, request a private event, apply for a job, or contact us, we collect your name, email, phone number, and any details or files you include.
- Information recorded with a form. When you submit any form we also record the date and your IP address (and, for the email list, your browser type) to prevent abuse and keep a record of your consent.
- Information collected automatically. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and browser information to deliver and secure the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics records aggregate, cookieless information such as pages viewed, referring page, device and browser type, and approximate country. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To send you event announcements, RSVP links, and table offers if you opt in.
- To respond to private event and general inquiries.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To comply with legal obligations, including age-restriction and venue requirements.
How we share it
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined in California law. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and our marketing (for example, email delivery, our reservation partner Booketing, and ticketing partners such as Eventbrite), and when required by law.
Third parties do not collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites through this site.
Job applicants
Information you submit through our careers form (contact details, resume, work history, and anything you include) is used only to evaluate your application and manage hiring. It is shared only with our management and the service providers that host the form and store applications. We keep applications for four years, as California employment law requires. Do Not Track and opt-out signals
This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking. Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate, and they run the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.
- California: Regardless of whether a specific law requires it, you may email us to request access to or deletion of your information and we will honor reasonable requests. We do not sell or share personal information.
- EU/UK (GDPR): You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and may withdraw consent at any time.

Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, though no method of transmission is fully secure.
Age
This site and venue are intended for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date here.
